getaway

On June 9th we celebrated one year of marriage! One blissful year that started slow and suddenly disappeared. So much has changed since last year, B started working, W passed another kidney stone, W started working, we built our headboard & our coffee table in 115 degree heat, we moved to 3 year old class in Sunday School,we fell in love with our pup Scout & brought her home, we moved around the corner, we ran a half marathon, we went to Georgia to visit Tanner, W experienced Vegas for the first time, we traveled to Cambodia, we celebrated Valentine’s day with Pinks Hot Dogs, we attended a lot of weddings, ate a lot of Popsicles, went camping for W’s birthday, & laughed a lot. When our one year rolled around we decided we wanted to get away & do nothing. Palm Springs. Far enough away but close enough to drive. SOLD. The morning of the 9th we started at Disneyland of course! Then spent the next couple days next to the pool enjoying our time together and looking back on all the Lord did in our lives this last year. We had a fantastic time!!

We made a no technology rule but B did let me take some iPhone pictures! Since we didn’t get to see // taste our cake on our wedding day [it fell over], Mom surprised us with a small version of our wedding cake ••• it was delicious!
