So I’ve been really bad about blogging. And every week I try and tell myself to update. To document. But then I realize that the best documentation I can use is my eyes. Using them to absorb all that’s going on and letting it sink into my already overflowing heart. We’ve already been married for 5 months. And we are loving our adventure! That’s the thing: if you’re living it, you’re fully immersed. Soaking in every love-smothered, laughter-filled moment, and humbling ourselves through the not so fun moments like when Scout threw up on the bed…twice, in one week.
We are learning. We are growing. We are learning to grow.
We are living our adventure.
I promise a real update soon. But for now, we’ll leave you with this. We have so much to be thankful for and so often we have the wrong perspective on how much we are privileged to have. Rather than complain this week, let’s put the right mind on each situation. Rather than saying, my closet is too small, remember how many clothes you’re blessed to have. Instead of complaining that the food in the fridge turned bad, be thankful that there’s so much food in there that you forgot about that bag of apples in the bottom drawer. Gratefulness is always the best choice. And it’s what God demands since everything we have is from His hand.
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.” Psalm 5:11
